Jan Radimský is an associate professor at the Institute of Romance languages, Faculty of Arts, University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic. Having graduated in Italian and French linguistics (2001), he gained his PhD in Romance linguistics at Charles University in Prague (2005) and his PhD thesis Les composés italiens actuels (Present-day Italian Compounds) was published by CRL in Paris (2006). In 2007 to 2009, he carried out a research grant of the Czech Academy of Science aimed at providing a complex account of Light Verb Constructions in Czech according to the Lexicon-Grammar approach, a model that has been previously applied mainly on Romance languages.
